US company signs franchise agreement for Kenya entry

A US-based pesticides products manufacturer has inked a partnership deal with a Kenyan distribution firm on their planned products’ local rollout.

Outdoor Living Brands signed the exclusive franchising with career marketer Fred Rariewa that saw birth of Mosquito Squad Kenya – the firm to be used in the distribution.

In a press release sent to newsrooms, Outdoor Living Brands chairman-cum-CEO Chris Grandpre said Rariewa’s appointment would enable them roll out their indoor and outdoor pesticides on the East African market starting with Nairobi.

“Our presence in East Africa will provide an important community service by helping to prevent citizens in Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania from being affected by dangerous mosquito-borne illnesses,” said Mr Grandpre.

Owned and operated by Fred Rariewa, Mosquito Squad Kenya will initially focus on Nairobi, Kenya, by providing mosquito protection to areas where pest-borne illnesses are prevalent and growing.

Mr Rariewa, founder of health education marketing agency Pulse Experiential Group, welcomed the new deal, saying the fight against malaria would create a new line of business as well as help curb the menace.
