With over 1,600 locations in the US, Denny’s is practically an institution of dining in some areas. But to us, it is a brand new thing. The first Denny’s to open in Queens is coming soon, to Jackson Heights, at 87-10 Northern Boulevard. It is slated to open January 20, according to Denny’s of Jackson Heights on Facebook.
The first Denny’s in the entire city only opened two summers ago. Located in Downtown Manhattan, it serves a location-exclusive $300 Grand Slam breakfast, which includes a bottle of Dom Pérignon. The second location was opened in Brooklyn, and the coming Queens location is the third in the city. There are also hundreds of locations worldwide.
Denny’s is a full-service pancake house/coffee shop/fast casual family restaurant chain. It is known for always being open, and serving breakfast, lunch, dinner, and dessert around the clock. Unlike many other restaurant chains, Denny’s does not close on holidays and nights, except where required by law. Most Denny’s restaurants are now franchisee-owned.
Denny’s originated in Lakewood, California in 1953.
