Popular America’s Diner, Denny’s, officially opens its first 24/7, 168-seater restaurant in the Philippines for the public at the upscale Uptown Parade in Taguig City on October 7 at 6 a.m.
A successful full-service family dining chain in the world, Denny’s has been known to serve American comfort food favorites for breakfast, lunch, and dinner such as pancakes, burgers, steaks, and sandwiches among others.
Denny’s Philippines, franchised by the Bistro Group, is serving about 90% of the original Denny’s menu while the remaining 10% is for well-loved Filipino dishes like arroz caldo, chicken and pork adobo, crispy bangus belly, and bistek tagalog.
“It definitely caters to all people. We carry about 90% of their menu and incorporated about 10% of local favorites… Denny’s has an all day breakfast which can be served any part of the day or even at night,” Ronald Olaes, Denny’s Philippines’ director for operations told InterAksyon in a press launch held Thursday night.
He also added that the Bistro Group opted to add rice meals to provide more options for Filipinos who are not too inclined with sides like mashed potatoes or hash browns.
“We have a totally complete menu. We have steaks, seafood, classics, salads. We have everything on the menu. It’s comfort food, food that is well loved by the people,” he said.
Apart from being a well-loved go-to place at any time of the day, Filipino diners would also appreciate the big serving portions of Denny’s menu. For Php 355 or more for the bestselling Slams, two to three persons can share a dish, and yet feel full.
Currently, Denny’s has over 1,700 locations around the world including Canada, Puerto Rico,New Zealand, Mexico, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Honduras, Guam, United Arab Emirates, Chile, Curacao, El Salvador, and Trinidad and Tobago.
In the Philippines, apart from the first restaurant in Taguig, will be opening a branch in Sta Rosa, Laguna this October. The franchise is to open a total of 10 restaurants across the country in the next ten years.
Meanwhile, Jean Paul Manuud, president and COO of Bistro Group said, “We’re proud to have the opportunity to bring Denny’s to the Philippines, and provide local families with di er favorites that resonate with guests around the world.”
