Houston-based Fuddruckers was one of four Texas fast food restaurant companies named to Business Insider’s “The 25 Best Fast-Food Chains in America” list.
To compile the rankings, Business Insider partnered with food service industry company Restaurant Business to crunch proprietary data for 89 of the country’s largest fast food chains. Companies were ranked in criteria such as year-over-year sales, customer satisfaction and average spend per customer, according to the list’s methodology.
Fuddruckers, which is owned by Luby’s, weighed in at No. 23. The list shows Fuddruckers had U.S. sales of $253 million, was eighth in customer service and 25th in value.
“Despite slipping US sales — down 1.2 percent last year — Fuddruckers has accrued a host of loyal customers who flock to the chain for its juicy hamburgers and crisp sesame buns, earning the restaurant a top-notch customer satisfaction rating on Technomic,” Business Insider wrote in its summary of the company.
Luby’s operates 77 U.S. restaurants and has franchises in Europe, Latin America and the Middle East.
Among other Texas companies, Beaumont-based Jason’s Deli scored the highest at No. 10, followed by No. 12 Whataburger and Dallas-based chicken restaurant Pollo Campero, which was ranked 20th.
Atlanta-based Chick-fil-A topped the rankings. Raising Cane’s, which has a large Houston-area presence, came in second. Source: http://www.chron.com/business/retail/article/Fuddruckers-Whataburger-Jason-s-Deli-make-Top-7477466.php
