Grimaldi’s Pizzeria, known for its hand-tossed, coal-fired brick oven pizzas, is continuing to expand with its 45th location, opening in Flagstaff next week. It will be the company’s eighth restaurant in Arizona.
Located at Aspen Place in the Sawmill shopping center, the restaurant on the corner of Butler Avenue and Lone Tree Road, will occupy a 4,298-square-foot space, including a large outdoor patio.
Joey Ciolli, CEO of Grimaldi’s, is excited about being a part of the Flagstaff community and said they will have about 50 employees there.
“Our guests have been asking for another Arizona location for years and we are beyond excited to say that we’ve finally found the perfect market for an addition.”
The Scottsdale-based company is consistently ranked as one of the top 50 fastest-growing restaurant groups in the country by the Restaurant Business Magazine.
Ciolli added they will be opening five more locations in the U.S. this year and expanding internationally as well.
“The Flagstaff community has been extremely welcoming and we cannot wait to bring our brand to Northern Arizona,” said Ciolli.
In addition to its signature menu of hand-tossed, coal-fired brick oven pizzas, calzones and house made salads, part of Grimaldi’s brand is also its design of upscale, yet casual family-oriented ambiance.
The company has six restaurants in the Phoenix area located in Chandler at the Shoppes at Casa Paloma; in Gilbert at San Tan Village; in Peoria at Park West; in Scottsdale at DC Ranch, the Scottsdale Quarter and Old Town. There’s also a Grimaldi’s in Tucson is at Sam Hughes Place.
Grimaldi’s current 45 locations across the country, spans 12 states including Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Idaho, Kansas, Louisiana, Nevada, South Carolina, New Jersey, Connecticut and its flagship stores in New York City. There are also plans now for future openings in Chesterfield, Virginia and Memphis, Tennessee.
