Grimaldi’s Pizzeria going international

Grimaldi’s Pizzeria plans to expand its brand presence globally by offering international franchise opportunities, according to a company press release.

“For years we have been approached by groups interested in owning a slice of Grimaldi’s Pizzeria,” said Joe Ciolli, CEO of Grimaldi’s Pizzeria. “After diligently working on enriching our brand, we finally feel ready to increase our global footprint and expand overseas. With the amount of inquiries we have received in 2016, we are on track to open our first few locations outside the U.S. by next year. As we continue to grow, so will our corporate infrastructure to support our market partners.”

To facilitate its international franchising initiatives, Grimaldi’s Pizzeria has partnered with Edwards Global Services, which has experience in taking U.S. brands global.

“We are proud to assist Grimaldi’s in its global development. Grimaldi’s is world-class in the pizzeria segment, with more than 100 years of tradition, amazing food made fresh daily in the restaurants, top-quality service, and dedication to authenticity, even using a unique water filtration system to duplicate New York City water for its signature crust,” said William Edwards, CEO of Edwards Global Services. “The dining experience Grimaldi’s delivers is simply best-in-class.”
