BeaverTails opening cafe on Toronto waterfront

Give your sweet tooth a heads-up.

On March 19, BeaverTails will be opening a permanent bakery cafe at 145 Queens Quay W. in Toronto. The company, which produces the legendary fried dough pastries, will be hosting an eating contest, boat tours and face painting on opening day.

It’ll be BeaverTails’ largest Ontario location, featuring indoor seating and an outdoor patio.

In case you didn’t hear the other good pastry news earlier this week, Eva’s Original Chimneys will be offering chimney cakes — which look like delicious doughnut cones — in food trucks starting in April.

There goes your diet!
