THE BISTRO Group will bring three more casual dining brands, including American diner Denny’s and Texas Roadhouse, into the country, giving the multi-brand franchisor a total of 14 restaurant chains under its management.
“Our growth strategy will be to continue to bring in successful brands that we believe are relevant to our guests here,” said Lisa Ll. Ronquillo, the group’s assistant vice-president for marketing, during yesterday’s briefing for the launch of Food&HotelAsia2016.
By May this year, the group will be opening branches of Denny’s, Texas Roadhouse, and fast-casual restaurant Moe’s Southwest Grill. This will bring the total number of restaurant branches under the Bistro Group to 63.
Ms. Ronquillo said along with the entry of the new international chains, the company would continue to expand the number of branches of its existing brands like Italianni’s, Watami, flagship restaurant TGI Friday’s and homegrown brand Krazy Garlik.
The Bistro Group is also the franchisor of Bulgogi Brothers, Fish & Co., Modern Shanghai, Murray and D’Vine, Village Tavern, Buffalo Wild Wings and Tonkatsu.
The entry of international restaurant brands have increased at a faster rate in the past two years, Ms. Ronquillo said, adding that expectations are for the trend to continue in the coming years.
