Sky Zone Trampoline Park is holding its grand opening in South Plainfield on Saturday after leasing 40,000 square feet of space in the borough, it said recently.
Sky Zone, which features an all-walled trampoline playing court, is located at 600 Hadley Road in the Middlesex County borough.“Sky Zone is a big win for our community on several fronts,” South Plainfield Councilman Derryck C. White said in a prepared statement. “They are not only looking to hire 150 people, but also have begun to help meet the needs of organizations and families in our community.”
The grand opening will start at 11 a.m., with festivities running throughout the day, Sky Zone said.
The trampoline park had a soft opening in December, and Phil Stoops, vice president of franchisee Philadelphia Trampoline Parks, the response has been “outstanding.” “The feedback from our guests has been great,” he said in a statement. “Everyone loves our product, services and the high-energy fun we are bringing to the community.”Stoops said his company has plans to open additional trampoline parks in New Jersey and Pennsylvania this year.
The owner of the South Plainfield property is Alfieri, based in New Brunswick, a Sky Zone spokeswoman said.
