US Franchise Trade Mission to India 2014 that took place on 11th & 12th December 2014 in New Delhi, presented itself as a massive business opportunity platform that showcased top of the line US brands including FOCUS BRANDS, WING ZONE, WOW CAFE, ROUND TABLE PIZZA, WORLD OF BEER, ORANGE LEAF FROZEN YOGURT, FASTSIGNS, HERTZ, MAKE MEANING, MASSAGE ENVY and TITLE BOXING CLUB for the elite Indian business owners.
The delegation was supported by U.S. Commercial Section, Embassy of United States in New Delhi and International Franchise Association (IFA), the recognized and authoritative voice of the franchising industry worldwide. The event gathered the potential of the Indian franchising industry to network and connect, to further explore possibilities to grow bigger and faster in the given peripheries especially in Food and Beverages and Health and Fitness sector. With the growing middle class and disposable incomes, there is no better emerging market than India for these brands which are soon set to announce their entry into the country to cash in on the opportunity with the conclusion of this successful and rare business event between the top business minds of two countries. Very recently, top international brand like Burger King announced last year a tie-up with the Everstone Group to develop the brand presence in the country along with its first store in the capital city’s Select City Walk Mall, Saket. Another location doing the rounds online is Connaught Place, a colonial-era marketplace in the heart of New Delhi, where Dunkin Brands Inc. and Starbucks Corp. opened stores in 2012. Another top international burger chain Johny Rockets, officially announced a franchise agreement with Prime Gourmet Private Limited, a new restaurant company with a menu that boasts a handful of custom items that cater specifically to the country’s palate.
